Telemarketing Manager, Property – £70k

Our client is one of the biggest and longest-established names in the commercial property world, specialising in the design and build of office interiors. They are often described as the best place to learn sales in the commercial property sector and their track record shows that they probably deserve that accolade. They’re now looking to grow their telemarketing / sales research team and, with that growth, they’d like a new team leader to drive the team to even greater heights.

Role

As brokers of commercial property deals, our client is constantly searching for prospective new business. Your role will involve leading a team making outbound calls to companies in London to ascertain whether they are moving office or refurbishing their current office in the next 12-18 months. If they are, then the research team asks questions to find out key information such as the date of a move or a refurbishment, the people involved in the process, and the location of both the current office and the potential new office. Through their calls and their research skills, they qualify the serious leads in the marketplace and prepare the full details for more senior colleagues in the sales team. Your job will be to lead this research team of 8-10 callers, each making 200-300 calls a day, with a particular focus on training, call coaching and helping them hit their key performance indicators (call numbers, talk times, leads generated).

The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you?

Knowledge: You are an experienced telesales or telemarketing professional, probably with a successful track record of generating new business for 3-5 years, preferably from outbound cold calls; experience of or interest in commercial property is an advantage but not compulsory; you will either have experience of coaching teams or leading teams, or you will be able to demonstrate that you are ready to take on a leadership role.

Attitude: You should be driven to succeed, very hard-working and extremely tenacious – quitters should not apply! You’re happy in an outbound calling team bringing energy, insight and passion to your role and the ability to transmit those qualities to your team every day.

Skills: Strong telesales or telemarketing skills, preferably specialising in outbound cold calls;  excellent spoken and written English; skilled in team management, ideally with proven track record; able to manage CRM deployment to make the most of the data available.

Habits: Happy in a team making a high volume of calls daily (you are not making calls yourself but need to be comfortable with that kind of environment); very focused; hard working and, at times, ruthless in your pursuit of the win.

Package
