Sales Executive, Property – £45k

Our client, a specialist in land acquisition for their property developer clients, is looking for an ambitious, hard-working and focused salesperson to join their London-based team. Your attitude is more important than your experience.

Company

Specialising in sourcing land for property developers, our client has an enviable database of UK land owners which allows them to connect developers with those land owners to broker deals. It’s a young company in its early years of trading, giving new starters a great platform to play an integral role in the company’s growth. Their head office is based in the heart of London’s Docklands.

Role

It’s your job to contact UK land owners to find out if they are interested in selling their land or, at least, getting a valuation on their land. If they are interested in a sale, or a valuation, you’ll book the next steps; ideally, if they are even slightly interested in a sale, those next steps will involve contacting your clients – UK property developers – to assess their level of interest in a purchase. Sometimes, you will already have a brief from a developer so you’ll know they’ll be interested; other times, you’ll be contacting them to check levels of interest. Find land for sale, connect developer to land owner and earn a fee for a purchase (it’s the developer that pays, not the land owner) and you’ll make a good living.

Knowledge: Preferably, you’ll have 6-12 months of sales experience but newcomers to sales with the right attitude (see below) are also welcome to apply; some interest in or understanding of property is preferred but, again, not essential.

Attitude: You need to be hungry for success with an outstanding work ethic – you do what needs to be done when it needs to be done rather than being the kind of person who ‘just does the job’ or is happy to tick over doing the bare minimum. You’ll be positive, enthusiastic with the courage to try out new things, jump 100% onboard with a new company and give it everything you’ve got.

Skills: You probably have good communication skills in life with perhaps some evidence of using those skills in the workplace, preferably in a sales role; the confidence to make outbound calls to people is required to do this job though you will, of course, be helped to hone your skills; native level professional English, both written and spoken, is required; you must be happy and willing to learn new ideas quickly and put them into practice.

Package
