Business Development Manager, Healthcare – £60k
Our client has been an established supplier to the NHS and other healthcare bodies across the world for the last decade and, in the last year, they have grown their revenues by more than 500%. With an outstanding product, a fast-growing R&D team and a brilliant track record, this is a great time to join them.
You will be calling healthcare professionals in the NHS (from chief nurses to heads of infection control) to find out about their needs: from flexible use of space (Covid-19 related and others) to increased ability to control infection and better space utilisation, you’re looking to find out how your product can help them. Through a series of calls and online meetings (with the occasional on-site visit, where possible), you will show how you can help and take clients through the decision-making process, often involving several people and departments. This is currently a work-from-home position which is expected to continue even once lockdowns are finished.
The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you?
Knowledge: You should have 3-5 years’ relevant sales experience, preferably telesales; an understanding of or interest in healthcare is a bonus but not a necessity though your track record will show that you’re successful in a similar market (consultative selling, large deals to senior people); you’re probably a graduate though this is not essential – a strong basic education is needed (good English and Maths).
Attitude: You should be driven to succeed, very hard-working and tenacious. A positive mindset is essential.
Skills: Good telesales and face-to-face sales skills with professional tone of voice and presentation; good organisational skills to track conversations and follow-up calls; excellent spoken and written English; a quick learner who picks things up quickly; you should have the speed of thought to respond to unexpected turns in client calls; a sense of curiosity with the practised ability to ask good questions to uncover needs.
Habits: Happy to make outbound calls daily (40-60 a day); focused on success; a willing learner; well-organised; very hard-working.
On offer is a salary of £30-35,000 plus commission that should take your earnings in Year 1 to £55-60,000pa with more available if you beat your targets (very much a possibility in the current climate). To apply or find out more, please contact us and quote job ref ST2768.
