Business Development Executive, Finance – £32k
You are a sales and partnership all-rounder with good people skills, strong sales skills (over the phone and face-to-face) and an analytical mind, able to digest and interpret data. Preferably you’ll come from a financial services background with an interest in FX but this is not essential. This role provides great variety in your duties along with the opportunity to work with a leading brand in the market.
Our client is well-established leader in the Foreign Exchange world with over 35 years’ success across the globe. With a strong team in their London Head Office and a successful 2020, they are now growing their teams in several departments ready for an even busier 2021.
You will provide support to maintain and generate private client referrals from the several sales channels of partners, both in the UK and in Australia, including partners in the media. You will be the face of the company to their external partner network (from property developers to dentists and media companies!), making sure that referral rates from their clients (buying products or services overseas that are exposed to foreign exchange markets) are sustained and grown. In addition, you will work closely with other departments internally such as Sales, Dealing, Marketing and Compliance. The duties within your role include business development / sales, account management, reporting, presenting, analysing and planning – all activities are focused, ultimately, on business generation.

Knowledge: You need 1-2 years’ experience in an office-based role, preferably within the finance sector, and including some outbound (cold calling) business generation; you probably have an interest in and understanding of FX; it’s an additional bonus if you have experience of a similar partnership role.
Attitude: Confident yet humble, you have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to life.
Skills: You must have good organisation and analytical skills, enabling you to measure trends within each vertical market to submit strategic ideas for continual; strong sales skills, both over the phone and face-to-face; good time-management and self-motivation are both highly desirable (especially as the role will start in a work-from-home environment; excellent business-level English, both written and spoken, is essential and a 2nd language is preferred.
Habits: Very well-organised with both internal tasks and outbound sales activities; happy working unsupervised; great attention to detail in all you do.
The starting salary for this role is £23-25,000pa depending on experience with first year earnings of £30-32,000 when you add in your commission and bonuses.
