Account Manager, Financial Services – £80k
You are a proven performer in the Foreign Exchange (FX) world who is looking for the chance to take your sales skills, your experience and your hunger to one of the market’s best names. Our client has had a successful 2020 and they are now looking for another outstanding professional salesperson to join their corporate team.
Our client is well-established leader in the Foreign Exchange world with over 35 years’ success across the globe. With a strong team in their London Head Office, they are now looking to grow their corporate team to meet increased demand.
Based in their central London office, you will be selling Foreign Exchange services to the corporate sector. International companies move money around the globe all the time, as you’ll know, and your role is to bring significant new revenue from your existing contacts and from new clients. This is a sales and business development role, not a dealing role – you have a separate dealing team in-house to do that. You’ll need an excellent understanding of the market, brilliant sales skills and outstanding organisation to manage your pipeline of new business from existing leads, new leads and your own research. The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you?
Knowledge: You’ll have at least 2-3 years’ experience selling deliverable FX to corporate clients; you’ll have a contact book of clients who are loyal enough to move with you; your annual revenues for the last 2-3 years will be consistent and impressive; you must be CF30 qualified; a specialist in international payment services for corporate clients, you will also have a good understanding of other parts of the business (eg. partnerships, online platforms etc).
Attitude: Proactive, credible and professional in your outlook, you are hungry to develop your career and will work hard to be successful.
Skills: Outstanding sales skills, over the phone / video calls and face-to-face in meetings; excellent native-level spoken and written English; strong numeracy skills along with proficiency in CRM systems, Excel and Word; proven ability to make outbound calls to unknown accounts to open new business; skilled in sales strategy and reporting to assess effectiveness.
Habits: Very well-organised, particularly in sales planning and pipeline measurement; proactive in seeking new business over the phone and in all other ways (online and offline networking; referrals etc).
The starting salary for this role is £55-60,000pa depending on experience with significantly more available when you add in your commission and bonuses (£75-80,000pa).
